Introduction to BIEM
Beijing Institute of Economic Management (Beijing institute of Managerial) is a full-time public higher vocational college approved by the Beijing Municipal People’s Government, filed by the Ministry of Education and supervised by the Beijing Education Committee. The Institute of International Education serves as a window for the school’s foreign exchange and cooperation. It mainly carries out overseas education in China and foreign exchange and cooperation projects. Since 1998, when it was approved by the Ministry of Education as a university with the qualification of receiving foreign students, more than 15,000 overseas from 92 countries and regions have been trained in Chinese, business Chinese specialty education and courses with Chinese cultural characteristics, and have established long-term cooperative relations with many universities and educational institutions in more than a dozen countries. We have a complete system, mature team and rich experience in personnel training, curriculum construction and foreign affairs service. At present, there are 500 trainees in China each year. The number of overseas accounts for about 13%of the students in the school, which ranks first among the higher national HSK examination point.
In 1999, a cooperative agreement was signed with the French IGS Education Group to hold a credit course on "Business and Culture of China".
In 2002, the University of John Morse (JOHN MOORES UNIVERSITY) in Liverpool, UK, jointly offered undergraduate education.
In 2003, the China-ASEAN Free Trade Area Research Institute was established in cooperation with the Thai Central Language Institute. It has two campuses, Beijing and Bangkok, to conduct high-end business training, and pioneered the establishment of branch campuses in Beijing's Higher Vocational Colleges abroad.
In 2005, a cooperation and exchange agreement was signed with South-East Healthcare University of Korea.
In 2006, it became a friendly school with Daejin University in Korea.
In 2007, with the approval of the Beijing Municipal Education Commission and the record of the Ministry of Education, a Sino-foreign cooperative school-running project was launched in collaboration with JOHN MOORES UNIVERSITY, Liverpool, UK.
In 2009, cooperative overseas study program with Bellevy College in the United States.
In 2010, cooperated with Sunchon National University of Korea to conduct short-term training and training projects in winter and summer vacation.
In 2011, cooperated with Hanharmonious Business Consulting Co., Ltd. to Chinese business experts for their Chinese language training.
In 2012, a cooperative training agreement was signed with the Hong Kong International School to conduct short-term summer training.
In 2012, cooperated with Obrin University in Japan to carry out the summer enterprise and culture research project in China.
In 2014, with University of Bolton (UOB) carried out inter-university cooperation and exchanges.
In 2017, signed cooperation agreements with North Bangkok University, University of Philston, Malaysia and Northwest University of Thailand to carry out multi-level and multi-dimensional cooperation in tourism management, business management and other specialties.
In 2018, a cooperation agreement was signed with the National Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education (NCEE China) to establish the Beijing-London Business School in London, UK

In 2019 and 2020, the school consecutively received the “Outstanding Contribution Award in China-Thailand Vocational Education” from the Thailand “Belt and Road” Foundation and the Vocational Education Commission of the Thai Ministry of Education.

In October 2020, the school was elected as the Vice Chairman Unit of the China-ASEAN Vocational Education Cooperation Alliance and the Executive Committee Chairman Unit of the China-ASEAN “Gemstone King Cup” International Skills Competition.

In 2022, the school was selected as a “Typical Institution for International Cooperation in Vocational Education” at the 2022 Asia Education Forum Annual Conference.

In 2023, the school was selected as a “Chinese Alliance Digital Education Gold Institution.”
